Latest Update on Screenshot for Nokia E61/E62
Screenshot September 26th. 2006, 2:45pmLast week, I posted a blog about Screenshot problem on Nokia E61/E62. Finally, I managed to borrow E61 from Forum Nokia Champion program and found the cause of the problem.
The problem is because the latest firmware has changed they key code of Star (*) key. Before the latest firmware, the key code (TKeyEvent.iCode) for Star key was 42 and now they key code is 85.
I have fixed the problem and tested on E61. You can expect to see the new release within 2 – 3 weeks. Why does it take so long to release the fix? You many know it is because of Symbian Signed program. Read also my post about Symbian Signed and Software Bug Fix.
Besides the fix, I will introduce two new shortcuts, i.e.:
- <Edit>+<#>
- <Edit>+<5>
Well… they can be called <Shift>+<#> and <Shift>+<5> on Nokia E61/62. I won’t change the naming on Nokia E61/E62 because of localization issues. It will takes a lot of time for me to contact all the translators.

Update (27-Sep-06): I have found another bug in my freeware. I just found it yesterday and It happens in all S60 phones. It may not be a critical bug because nobody has reported it to me. However, I will fix this in the next 1-2 days and then submit my freeware to Symbian Signed.

I noticed that I can’t take screenshots from Sky Force or Sky Force Reloaded. All I get is white images.
But others can. A bug or just don’t have functions for it? Hopefully future versions of Screenshot will be able to do this.

@Daniel: Interesting problem. If you notice my other post, http://www.s60tips.com/2006/09/17/featured-software-sky-force-reloaded/, you can see that I am able to capture Sky Force Reloaded.
Just for your information, all the screenshots in my blogs are captured using my own software….
