New Nokia’s Flagship Store in New York
News August 31st. 2006, 12:46pmNokia announced today that they will open a new flagship store in New York on the morning of September 9th. For you who don’t know about Nokia’s flagship store, here is the quote from Nokia’s press release:
…At a Nokia Flagship Store, consumers can test the latest Nokia mobile devices and learn about new mobile services and technologies. Well-trained and knowledgeable staff will be on hand to help consumers find a product or service that reflects their lifestyle and individual needs….
This store in New York will be the fifth Nokia’s flagship store in the world. Nokia is planning to open 18 stores in the next 2 years in high-retail locations all around the world.
It’s a pity that I haven’t had a chance to visit any Nokia’s flagship stores. Perhaps I should plan my next vacation to visit one of them…

So, where are the other Nokia’s flagship store? I have compiled a list of all Nokia’s Flagship stores so far complete with their opening dates and addresses:
- Moscow – December 8, 2005 – 8th in the Pushkin Square district.
- Chicago – June 24, 2006 – Magnificent Mile’ shopping district
- Hong Kong – July 17, 2006 – Russell Street, Causeway Bay
- Helsinki – August 19, 2006 – Aleksanterinkatu street
- New York – September 9, 2006 – Fifth Avenue shopping district at 5 East 57th Street

Hi Antony
As i clicked your link to Nokia’s Flagship Store
from Anina’s site, the “shop” seemed to me as
shops used to be in Russia near 1970s or
like the Friend Ship stores in China 1990s.
So, do have better one pictures of Nokia Flagship
Stores than Anina’s site has ?

what does a flagship store connote? here in the philippines there are nokia stores in every major shopping mall.
(not so sure but I can count at least 4)

@agwe23: I think the concept of Nokia Flagship store is very different from regular Nokia store. Flagship store is meant to be “showcase” for Nokia to show their phones and how to utilize their features & technologies. While regular Nokia store is more for customer and service center.
