What Applications Do You Have On Your S60 Phones?
Opinion June 9th. 2006, 2:35pmPhil, from Voice of S60, always ask this question to this interviewees, “What applications do you have on your S60 phones?” I would like to share what I have in my S60 phones here (although I haven’t been interviewed by Phil…
)
Here they are (I include only third party applications in this list):
Utilities
- FExplorer – I don’t think S60 users can live without this application.
- Putty – Telnet/SSH client for your S60 phones.
- Screenshot – The application that I wrote myself to capture screenshot.
- TaskSpy – Displays information about running applications, processes, etc.
Communication
- Agile Messenger – Instant messenger client, supporting MSN, YM, ICQ, AOL and Google Talk.
- EQO – A VoIP client that uses Skype as a gateway.
Multimedia
- MobiPocket Reader – eBook reader for your S60 phones.
- OggPlay – Nice music player with skin support.
- SmartMovie – One of the best video players.
Games
- Frozen Bubble – A port of an addictive game, Puzzle Bobble.
- MauMau – Also known as Uno in some countries.
- MM Reversi – Very clever Reversi program – a must-have software for Reversi fans.
- Rock-o-ban – A port of a puzzle game, Sokoban.
- Sky Force – One of the best mobile games out there.
Travel
- Google Maps – Bring Google Maps in your pocket.
Fun
- Calcium – Nice free calculator.
- Egg Clock – Turn your S60 phones into timers.
- Mobipaq Stopwatch – Convert your S60 phones to stopwatches.
- Torch – You may need this application in the dark…
Oh yes, I almost forgot. I am still using one of old S60 phones, i.e. Nokia 6680. I am planning to migrate to S60 3rd phones, but I want to wait until Nokia N73 is out.

Only a software developer would list a calculator under Fun!
Just discovered your blogs, Antony, and they’re really useful. Just upgraded to the N73 and I have to say you’re in for a treat!

@Mark: Thanks for stopping by. You’re absolutely right. Why did I list a calculator under fun? What was I doing?…
Anyway, do you know that I have another blog that might interest you too, i.e. http://www.s60tips.com/?
